The first page of my short comic story 'A Vicious Circle' - written in collaboration with ~ElbagArpie and soon to be released in print as part the new Fablewood Anthology: [link] This is the only page that we can release at present, so if you're curious as to what happens next, keep an eye on the site - it'll be published shortly, so do pick up a copy! :)

Meanwhilst, if you'd like to to enjoy some more ElnJJ comic fun, go check out [link] - our latest epic online graphic novel. Thanks! :)

Daily Deviation

Given 2007-05-28

"A Vicious Circle - Page One looks at young people and self-esteem, like a ‘slice-of-life’ story, but gives a neat twist by telling it in a Fantasy setting – giving fans or dissenters of either genre a good reason to look closer." A wonderfully put write-up for such a great page; something I couldn't have said better. ~jjnaas teams up with ~ElbagArpie to share just one page from the Fabelwood Anthology. Don't miss out on both of these talented deviants! (Suggested by ~themightyfro and Featured by $y2jenn)

You never know what is enough unless you know what is more than enough

That first panel is gawjusssss. However, the girls look rather mannish... if they are girls. I think it's the thickness of the necks.

Do you feel lucky? Well? Do ya, punk?
:iconjjnaas:
Thanks. :) I don't think there'll be any more from this comic tho..
:iconjjnaas:
Thanks. I meant to get an old, parched feeling with the colours.
:iconjjnaas:
Thanks Faith. :) The person with a long black hair IS actually a guy, and the other girl just looks a bit mannish because she's a bit chubby with thick arms. I'm crap at drawing "hot males" anyway.. they always end up looking quite feminine, because I've always preferred drawing women to drawing men.. Women are more fun to draw, because of more interesting shapes and a more interesting selection of clothes. Often when I need to draw an especially manly looking man I need to add some beard as an extra clue. ;)

Have you checked the new web comic that I draw? ( And that my fiancee writes ) [link] It takes place in Ol' Blighty which I've gathered you like as a setting. ;)
:iconoutlawnin:
looks interesting, btw the guy in the back on the last panel looks like Shikamaru from "Naruto"

hehehe, u deserve a cookie........of DOOM!!! >:D
:iconsylphiengel:
*I* think the girl looks cute--and it's nice to see a female in a comic who looks like she isn't about to die of starvation. This has a lovely style to it. (And I am especially fond of the lizards. ^_^)

I Run With Scissors. 'Cos i'm HARDCORE!

I find the issue of self esteem a particularly modern and uninteresting one, but I do like the art here as well as the clarity of storytelling.
